Symposium: “Impact of Global Warming on Water Resources in the Middle East and North Africa”

The School of Arts and Sciences at LAU Byblos and the German-Arab Scientific Forum for Environmental Studies e.V. are organizing the Fifth Environmental Symposium of German-Arab Scientific Forum for Environmental Studies.

This symposium intends to encourage and enlarge the exchange of experience and the cooperation between German and Arab scientists, universities, institutions as well as industry. It aims to contribute to environmental protection and to the understanding among nations.

Conference topics

The conference will focus on the following topics:

• Impact of global warming on water resources
• Water resources, protection and management
• Air and soils pollution and protection
• Wastewater treatments and reuse

The conference language is English.

The program will also include a poster presentation, an exhibition, and a post-conference three-day field trip focusing on water resources in Lebanon. Please check out the conference program.
