Creative Composition Workshop

Imagine Workshop and Concert Series (IWCS) is organizing a Creative Composition Workshop, led by Julliard-trained cellist and artist-in residence Avery Waite.

A creative composition is a dynamic method of collaboratively composing original music as a group. Focusing on the fundamentals of sound creation, rhythm internalization, and active listening, this workshop will help improve your overall musicianship. Using a sequence of fun and challenging group games and improvisation exercises, the class will compose original music combining singing and body percussion. Requiring active creative involvement from everyone, this will be a highly interactive and high energy workshop which will expose you to exciting new ways of thinking about composition.

Open to LAU and non-LAU community.
