SAC 2003 - The 18th Association of Computing Machinery

SAC 2003

Over the past seventeen years, the Association of Computing Machinery Symposium on Applied Computing has become a primary forum for applied computer scientists, computer engineers, software engineers, and application developers from around the world to interact and present their work. SAC 2003 is sponsored by the ACM Special Interests Group on Applied Computing (SIGAPP) and is presented in cooperation with other ACM Special Interest Groups.

Database Technology Track

A special track on Database Technology will be held in SAC 2003.  It will be a forum for engineers, researchers, and practitioners to share technical ideas and experiences relating to the implementation and application of database technology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Active Databases
  • Multidatabase Systems 
  • Multimedia Databases
  • Mobile Databases
  • Cooperative Databases
  • Object-Oriented Databases 
  • Temporal Databases
  • WWW-Based Databases
  • Distributed and Textual Databases
  • Workflow Management

Author(s) must submit six (6) laser-quality copies of full paper by September 6, 2002 to:

The author(s) name(s) and address(es) must NOT appear in the body of the paper.  Any self-reference should be in the third person.  Each paper must not exceed 4,000 words (approximately 15 pages, double-spaced). Each copy must have an abstract, a list of key words, and a separate cover page.  The cover page must include the title of the paper, full name(s) of the author(s), address(es) (including telephone number, fax number, and email address(es)) to which correspondence should be sent.

At least one of the authors of the accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper.
