LAU UN Day
Beirut campus
LAU is launching the LAU–UN Day, a yearly event in which all United Nations agencies in Lebanon participate. The main goal of the LAU–UN Day is to introduce the UN to students, as a beacon of humanity, social development, cultural heritage and humane connections, and not only a political tool.
At the event, students are given the chance to network and learn more about the UN system in Lebanon, while also being exposed to potential internship/volunteering opportunities. The LAU–UN Day is a yearly activity where both campuses merge their commitment and passion for development by organizing the event in close collaboration with the UN Information Center in Beirut.
This year, 22 UN agencies are gathering at LAU for the LAU–UN Day to offer students information about their mission. At noon, Dr. Joseph G. Jabbra, LAU president, and Mr. Bahaa Elkoussy, UNIC director, will give short statements of support in an official launching ceremony where various university executives, UN agencies directors and ambassadors will be present.
