Arab Approaches to Conflict Resolution: Mediation, Negotiation, and Settlement of Political Disputes
September 16, 2014 6:00 PM–8:00 PM (EST)
New York Academic Center
What have been the approaches of leaders and institutions to managing political conflict in Arab countries? Are these approaches distinct from non-Arab ones? Do they take into account women’s participation in peacemaking as a key factor to sustainable peace?
These and other questions will be addressed by authors and political science professors Nahla Yassine-Hamdan and Frederic S. Pearson.
This public event is sponsored by the LAU New York Academic Center and the Consul General of Lebanon in New York, the Hon. Majdi Ramadan.
