“45 Symbols: Ethnographic Visual Anecdotes”

The Department of Design’s Graphic Design Program is hosting a lecture titled “45 Symbols: Ethnographic Visual Anecdotes” by Associate Professor Randa Abdel Baki.

Forty Five Symbols is a collaborative exploration of visual language that unites students, teachers, scholars and ideas from six cities across four continents. This international workshop was conducted in five universities including Falmouth University in the United Kingdom and LAU, where Abdel Baki conducted the project. Over two years, more than 150 students from more than 40 different countries have been involved. This talk will present the process, the evolution and the visual outcome of this collective venture.
