“Architecture in South Africa - The Work of Joe Noero” (Byblos)

The Department of Architecture and Interior Design is hosting a lecture entitled “Architecture in South Africa - The Work of Joe Noero” to be given by architect Joe Noero on October 27 at LAU Byblos.

Noero has been a professor of architecture at the University of Cape Town (UCT) from 2000 to date, director of the School of Architecture and Planning at UCT from 2000 to 2005 and the Ruth and Norman Moore Professor of Architecture and director of Graduate Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, USA from 1995 to 2001.

Noero Architects was established in 1984 in Johannesburg. The practice moved to Cape Town in 2000 and has completed well over 150 buildings with a focus on public buildings such as museums, schools, art galleries, university buildings and social housing. Noero’s work has been exhibited at various venues around the world. Noero has won a number of national and international awards for his work.
