Importance of Specifications

The Department of Architecture and Interior Design is hosting a lecture titled “Importance of Specification”, presented by Mounir Kronful, CSI, associate managing director of construction and builders at the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The lecture will present a tailor-made document that assists the project team to effectively complete projects, by describing materials’ properties and their installation. Specifications identify the materials’ technical properties, fabrication, and installation requirements. 

Another lecture, titled “5D BIM at Work”, will be presented by Daniel Nammour, MIT, general manager of DPM. The lecture will present a management concept with one platform linking 3D model with time schedule “4D = T”, quantities, costs, resources 5D, with real time valuable monitoring and control.
