Fine Arts Alumni Biennial Exhibition: 16 Works on Display

Sheikh Zayed Hall, Beirut campus

The Department of Fine Arts and Foundation Studies is hosting its 2016 Alumni Biennial Exhibition titled “16 Works on Display”, a unique evening of culture, creativity, and kinship.

The exhibition will kick off with a lecture by alumna Marya Kazoun, an internationally recognized artist who works between New York and Venice. Kazoun was featured several times at the Venice Biennale, and is locally represented by Galerie Janine Rubeiz in Beirut. She will be sharing her views and approaches to art-making, as well as some recent work. The lecture will take place at AKSOB 903.

Following the lecture is an opening ceremony at 6 p.m. in the Sheikh Zayed Hall, Safadi Fine Arts Bldg. The Faculty Jury selected a collection of works that showcases the creative talents of LAU graduates and includes a broad spectrum of artistic approaches.

The exhibition is on through April 1 from Monday till Friday, 9 a.m. till 6 p.m.
