Global Outreach & Leadership Development Conference - GOLD 2017

211 E. 46th Street, New York

The OCE (Outreach & Civic Engagement) is organizing the Annual Global Outreach & Leadership Development (GOLD 2017) Conference.

Objective:
The conference will focus on expanding cognition pertaining to Model UN for students, head delegates and school advisors by providing complete knowledge and overview about the techniques, skills, and competencies which make their Model UN experience scientific, structured, systematic and successful.

Theme:
This year’s theme is “Youth Engagement in Support of Sustainable Development Goals” (#YESforSDGs). The Sustainable Development Goals, a UN engineered initiative also known as the Global Goals, are a set of 17 goals with 169 targets. Post-2015 Millennium Development Goals, the UN adopted the 2030 Development agenda with 17 Global Goals for sustainable development. This year’s GOLD raises targeted awareness on the various possible channels for Youth’s engagement in support of the 17 goals of the SDGs all while raising participants’ cognition on how to make their Model UN experience successful.

The participants will get the chance to have a unique and memorable ‘New York experience’ as the schedule includes cultural and touristic site-visits, including a tour at the Headquarters of the United Nations and the Financial District.
