Project Management, Search Engine Optimization and Copywriting Workshop

LAU Beirut Campus - Nicol Hall Computer Lab 308 and AKSOB 903

The Translation program in the Department of Communication, Arts and Languages (CAL) is organizing a two-session workshop.

  • The first session on project management will take place in Nicol Hall Computer Lab 308 from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and is open only to students majoring in translation.
  • The second session on search engine optimization and copywriting will take place in AKSOB 903 from 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. and is open to all students in the CAL Department.

A competition among participants will take place during the second session. Certificates will be provided to all participants in collaboration with The Council Leadership Academy, and three monetary prizes will be offered to the top three winners. 

The workshop will be facilitated by LAU alumna Ms. Takla Katoul Rahbani.

About the trainer

Takla Katoul Rahbani graduated with high distinction from the Lebanese American University with a BA in Translation and two minors, one in Arabic Language and Literature and another in English Literature. In 2022, she graduated with high distinction from the same university with an MA in International Affairs and a publication in the field. Prior to her current role, Rahbani was a Senior Translator and Product Lead at the RWS Google team and, before that, Translation Lead at Talal Abu Ghazaleh, Al-Dar Consulting. She has extensive experience in the functioning of language service providers and holds the Atlassian Agile Project Management Professional Certificate. Throughout her roles, she has also become an expert in marketing translation and its different components, such as search engine optimization, copywriting and transcreation. Rahbani currently works as an Arabic Linguistic Reviewer for Google and Spotify at Vistatec, Ireland.
