TCET workshops in educational technology

In the context of their cooperation and partnership with Michigan State University (MSU), the Teacher Training Institute and the Department of Education at LAU are organizing the second and third capacity-building workshops for Teacher Certification in Educational Technology (TCET 2 and TCET 3).

The workshops are part of a pilot implementation of three courses that the LAU team is developing and adapting based on three MSU courses in educational technology. Eighteen teachers from eight private and two public schools are participating in both workshops. It is expected that these educators will play a leading role in transmitting the information and skills gained and in fostering the integration of information and communication technology in their schools and communities.

The TCET 2 workshop took place March 5–6, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The TCET 3 sessions will be held March 19–20, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The workshops and the entire three-year project are sponsored by a MEPI/USAID/HED grant.
