Pioneer study launch: “The Effects of Socialization on Gender Discrimination and Violence Case Study: Lebanon”

Under the auspices of the Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World and the Outreach and Civic Engagement office at LAU, and within the framework of the National 16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women, Oxfam GB in partnership with KAFA (Enough) Violence and Exploitation, are launching a pioneer study titled: “The Effects of Socialization on Gender Discrimination and Violence Case Study: Lebanon” by Jinan Usta (M.D., M.P.H.) and Christine Sylva Hamieh (Ph.D.).
The study contributes to the emerging debates on gender and masculinity in the Middle East in relation to violence against women.
