Arab Collegiate Programming Contest

The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics is proud to be hostng the 14th Arab Collegiate Programming Contest, following the success of last year’s edition of the contest, which was also held at LAU.
For the first time in the history of the contest, the number of participating teams in 2010 came close to 60 and included participants from countries such as Jordan and Syria, and universities such as Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar and KAUST, KSA. This year promises to be even more successful as, to date, more than 70 teams have applied to register for the contest. The winning team in this regional contest will participate at the International Collegiate Programming Contest.
This year’s event is has two platinum sponsors: Facebook and Consolidated Contracting Company. Other sponsors are: Byblos Bank, Ayna Corporation, and Zakhem Engineering. Delegates from Facebook and CCC will also attend the contest for recruitment purposes.
