Algebraic Methods for Solving Matrix Differential Equations
Science Building 607, Byblos campus
The Computer Science and Mathematics Department in Byblos is organizing a talk entitled “Algebraic Methods for Solving Differential Equations of Arbitrary Order”.
Abstract:
In this talk, we present new algebraic methods for solving an important class of systems of linear differential equations of arbitrary order. Such systems appear in different fields of science such as chemistry, physics, fluid mechanics and control theory.
Speaker Biography:
Dr. Carole El Bacha received her B.Sc. in pure mathematics from the Lebanese University in 2007. She pursued her graduate studies at the University of Limoges, France, from which she earned her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics and applications in 2008 and 2011, respectively. During her Ph.D., she worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Limoges. Her field of specialization includes computer algebra (or symbolic computation), algorithmic of systems of linear differential equations and study of complexity. She is also interested in the implementation of algorithms in computer algebra systems. She is currently a part-time Math faculty at the Lebanese University, Fanar.
All are welcome to attend.
