2012 LAU Orphan Fair
Lower parking, Byblos campus
The Dean of Students Office is organizing an event entitled “Orphan Fair Week”. A total of around 500 orphans and less fortunate children from around several parts of Lebanon have been invited to this event.
Volunteers who have been invited to help out in this event are mainly LAU students and also students from other universities as well as high school students. Orphans will be expected to arrive at 9 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. as first shift, & 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. as second shift. They will be invited to a world of entertainment, mainly built, planned and organized by our students and volunteers.
A Facebook competition was also set up for schools participation. Each participating school should come up with a new idea of a game, these ideas will be placed on the LAU Orphan Fair Page for people to vote on. The school that receives the top 5 votes will be given the opportunity to implemented the game during the orphan fair.
NOTE: In case of rain, and since it would be too costly to cover the lower parking area, a backup plan is set to use the student Lounge and the area under the bridge bySelina Korban.
All are welcome to attend.
