“Social Media and Telecom: Future Opportunity”

The Electrical and Computer Engineering is organizing a lecture entitled “Social Media and Telecom: Future Opportunity” conducted by Dr. Nizar Dalloul.

Dr. Nizar Dalloul has over two decades of solid experience in Business and Telecom Sector. After completing a PhD in electrical engineering from Boston University in 1986, he became director of International Operations for Compudyne International. Four years later, Dalloul’s desire to improve his native Lebanon and the wider region led him to establish International Technologies Integration (ITI), a company dedicated to creating telecommunications solutions in the Middle East. He went on to establish LibanCell, Lebanon’s first mobile service operator, before applying his vision of leveraging the powers of communication to bring people and communities closer together to a bold new venture, the Comium Group. Under his leadership, Comium has become a world-class telecommunications leader, and a premier telecom provider in Africa, with rapidly expanding operations that span five continents.
