Everyday Surrealism
Frem Auditorium 205, Byblos campus
The Department of Architecture and Interior Design is organizing a lecture entitled “Everyday Surrealism” presented by Niloufar Afnan.
Niloufar Afnan is an artist with a background in Sculpture (BFA from Concordia University, Montreal) and Furniture Design (MA from the Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London). She is currently living and working in Lebanon where she established a small jewelry design practice while continuing her work as an artist in photographs and furniture. Her work has been exhibited, among others, at the Santorini Biennale, Euromold and the London Design Festival and published in the Vogue and Inhabitat magazine as well as in the Lebanese Daily Star. Over the past years she developed an interest in the object/context relationship leading to an extensive design research in surrealism.
All are welcome to attend.
