As part of his American Politics class, Associate Professor of Political Science Dr. Imad Salamey is hosting a lecture titled “Shariah Law and American Courts: Myth and Reality” by Dr. Ihsan Alkhatib.
Alkhatib is an assistant professor of Public Law at Murray State University. His research is focused on Arab and Muslim Americans and the legal system. Dr. Alkhatib has a law degree from the University of Toledo and a PhD from Wayne State University. Alkhatib practiced law for more than ten years before teaching fulltime at Murray State University in Kentucky.
