“The Political Repercussions of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis”

The Department of Social Sciences is hosting a lecture entitled “The Political Repercussions of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis” by Makram Malaeb. The lecture will be given as part of Dr. Imad Salamey’s Globalization and Political Change class. 

Mr. Malaeb will be examining the political economy of globalization in its various impacts on nation states. He is the Program Manager of the UNHCR’s Response to the Syrian Refugee Crisis Program at the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs. He has managed various regional economic development and strategic planning projects in Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq.
