“An Introduction to the IB: Education of the Whole Person”

The Department of Education is organizing a lecture entitled: “An Introduction to the IB: Education of the Whole Person” by Ms. Rania Jibai Saghir.

Ms. Saghir has an extensive teaching and coordination experience with a BA and an MA in Economics from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a teaching diploma in social sciences from the Lebanese American University. She holds a successful 13-year track record of teaching the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Economics course at Sagesse High School in Lebanon where she heads the Economics and Sociology Department. Rania has been an instructor for introductory micro, macro and statistics courses at AUB for the last nine years and has a talent for introducing technology in teaching pupils. Rania is highly experienced in assessment, examination and evaluation methods both at the national and international levels. She is a member of the Economics Lebanese Official Exam committee. She is experienced, through leading IBDP Economics workshops, in coaching and training colleagues. Moreover, she is a Diploma Programme consultant and school visitor and is experienced in writing, reviewing, and enhancing curricula.
