Collective Poster Design

As part of their fall 2014 event series, the LAU Beirut Department of Design is inviting Turkish designer Geray Gencer to give a lecture and workshop entitled “Collective Poster Design.”

Gencer is a designer based in Istanbul. His primary area of interest is cultural projects with a strong emphasis on typography, feeding on the mutual area of art and design. He currently lectures at Istanbul Isik University and is on the board of directors of the Turkish Society of Graphic Designers. He has received awards from ICOGRADA, AIGA, GMK, AGDA, European Design Awards, Graphics and NY Type Directors Club.

The lecture is open to the public, but the workshop is for graphic design students.

The lecture will be held on December 11 at 5 p.m. in room 904 of the Business Building.

The workshop will be held from December 12-14 in room 310 of Nicol Hall.
