World Marathon Record-Holder Paula Radcliffe at LAU

The Lebanese American University is holding a special event to honor World Marathon Record-Holder, Paula Radcliffe on Friday, November 6 at Irwin Theatre.

Radcliffe will speak about running for a cause. Moreover, May el Khalil, president of the Beirut Marathon Association will speak about the BMA’s partnership with LAU in sponsoring Radcliffe who has been internationally acclaimed as the Six-time World Champion, Seven-time Big City Marathon Winner, and World Record-holder.

Lina Abi-Rafeh, director of LAU’s Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World, will be giving a presentation about “Playing for Equality: Sport’s for Women’s Empowerment”.
