From Math to Business

The Mathematics Club at LAU is hosting a talk under the title “From Math to Business: My Journey into the Real World” by the speaker Dani El Kazzi.

Funded with a full scholarship, El Kazzi earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (AUB) and a master’s degree in Applied Math from the University of Illinois, USA. He also obtained an M.B.A degree from Columbia University and then transitioned into a banking career. He spent 16 years in various senior positions in banking, rising to managing director within 7 years of graduation. His last position was CEO of Standard Chartered Bank SAL. Before, he worked at Bear Stearns (JP Morgan), Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, and UBS, in the major global financial hubs.
