The Department of Design is hosting a lecture titled “45 Symbols: Ethnographical Visual Anecdotes”, presented by Associate Professor Randa Abdel Baki.

Forty Five Symbols is a collaborative exploration of visual language that unites students, teachers, scholars, and ideas from 6 cities across 4 continents. This international workshop was conducted in five universities including Falmouth University, UK and LAU where Abdel Baki was the one responsible for the project.

Over two years, more than 150 students coming from more than 40 different countries have been involved. This talk presents the process, the ongoing evolution, and the visual outcome of this collective venture.
