A Rhimozomatic Heart

The Department of Fine Arts and Foundation Studies is hosting a lecture titled “A Rhimozomatic Heart” by Lisa Rappaport Hendrickson.

Hendrickson is an award-winning art history, visual communication, and world art scholar. She completed her Master’s degree in 2004 at the University of Madison, Wisconsin. The recipient of several teaching awards including Faculty of Quarter and Distinguished Faculty Scholar, Hendrickson served as Chair of the Humanities Department at the University of Phoenix in Madison, where she also held a faculty position at Madison College. She has also contributed to many exhibition projects around the world. Presently, Hendrickson is lecturer in the Hekma School of Design and Architecture at Dar Al-Hekma University in Jeddah where she teaches art and fashion history as well as visual communication theory. She continues to explore how artists traditionally communicate transcultural identity, both in the past and in the present.
