EU Ambassador Discusses the Role of Regional Organizations and Bilateral States in Peace and Security Contexts

The Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution and the Department of Social Sciences are hosting a discussion with EU Ambassador Christina Lassen to address the “Role of Regional Organizations and Bilateral States in Peace and Security Contexts”.
Christina Lassen is the head of the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon since 2015. She began her career at the Danish ministry of Foreign affairs in Copenhagen. Before coming to Lebanon, Lassen worked as the head of the Department for Security Policy and Stabilization at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She studied foreign policy at the American University in Washington DC. She holds a Master’s of Science in International Relations from the Copenhagen Business School and was a fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University. Lassen has previous experience with Lebanon as she was an envoy at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut for one year.
This event is part of Mr. Philippe Lazzarini’s graduate course ‘The United Nations: the Humanitarian, Development and Peace and Security Nexus’.
