The Lebanese American University, in collaboration with The American University of Beirut, is hosting “The Fourth Annual Symposium on the Teaching of Writing in Lebanon”, under the theme of Writing Assessment.

Discussions will cover the below topics:

• Using rubrics for assessing writing
• Teachers’ feedback and error correction
• Alternative assessment (self and peer assessment)
• Assessing writing in standardized tests (SAT…etc)
• Assessing course learning outcomes
• Technological tools
