The Department of Architecture and Interior Design is hosting a lecture by Per-Johan Dahl titled: “Teaching/Research/Practice”.
Per-Johan Dahl is an architect and researcher. He hold a Ph.D. in Architecture from UCLA Department of Architecture and Urban Design, a Master of Architecture from Lund University, and a University Certificate in Civil Engineering from Blekinge Institute of Technology. Dr. Dahl has taught at Lund University of Technology, UCLA, OTIS College of Art and Design, USC, Woodbury University, and City University of Hong Kong. He is faculty and board member of the Research Institute for Experimental Architecture, and a Visiting Scholar at Columbia GSAPP Columbia University. His research circulates around three areas: new modes of design thinking, space morphology, and emergent building types. He co-founded smog studio; a research-oriented design practice committed to mediate the intersections and overlaps between architecture and urbanism. He is professional member of the American Institute of Architects, the Swedish Association of Architects, and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects. His research and practice has been published and exhibited internationally.
