Whose Disagreement Counts?
AKSB 903, Beirut campus
The Philosophy Program at the Department of Humanities is organizing a talk titled: “Whose Disagreement Counts?” by Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy N Gabriel Martin.
Whose disagreement do you have to take seriously? Whose disagreement can you ignore? These are the key questions in epistemology of disagreement. N Gabriel Martin will argue that there is no way to settle these questions without introducing bias, and that therefore the field must revisit the way it has conceived the significance of disagreement.
