The Department of English is hosting “Literature Day” in collaboration with the LAU Page Turners Book Club to celebrate literature through games, music, snacks, and fellowship.
The event includes four game booths each representing a different cultural era or literary movement where students can test their knowledge of Ancient Greek gods and goddesses, Renaissance and Enlightenment artists and thinkers, Arabic poetry from the Abbasid period, and spells from the Harry Potter world. Students can get information about literature courses at LAU and hear their peers’ experiences with literature at the information desk. Moreover, any literature-related books, in any language, will be accepted as donations to various charities.
The event is run by students and supervised by faculty. For more information, contact Associate Professor Kris Aercke at firstname.lastname@example.org.
