Lajeh Research Programme’s Final Conference: “Conflict and Migration in the Middle East”
Faculty Lounge, Irwin Hall, Beirut campus
The Institute for Migration Studies at the Department of Social Sciences is co-organizing an international conference titled: “Conflict and Migration in the Middle East”.
This international conference aims to deepen knowledge on forced migration in the Middle East by analyzing current refugee flows in their historical and regional context. Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey are the leading countries in the refugee host system. Moreover, the presence of many economic migrants makes international migration analysis one of the keys elements to understand socio-economic changes in the Middle East today. This conference also aims to develop a joint reflection with researchers and actors of the civil society.
