On the occasion of the bicentennial of writer and scholar Boutros Al-Boustani’s birth, the Center for Lebanese Heritage will be launching a book titled The Teacher Boutros Al-Boustani in His Own Words, edited by Hyam Mallat.

Lawyer and member of the Beirut Bar Association Hyam Mallat is the grandson of Chebli Mallat, known as “The Poet of the Cedars.” Mallat has authored numerous books on law, literature, history and sociology, and represented Lebanon in several local and regional conferences.
