Migration and Development in the Arab Region

The Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution (ISJCR) and the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI TLG) at the Lebanese American University are organizing a lecture by Regional Advisor on Population Affairs at UNESCWA Sara Salman on Migration and Development in the Arab Region.
The event will be moderated by ISJCR Director Tamirace Fakhoury.
Bio: Dr. Sara Salman manages the migration and population portfolios at UNESCWA. She has extensive experience in institutional strengthening, developing innovative knowledge products, and managing international projects. Dr. Salman has worked with a number of international organizations including the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme. During her career spanning more than a decade, she has fostered an extensive network of leading experts, parliamentarians, government and CSO representatives across the Arab region. She holds a PhD in Political Science and Government from the American University in Washington, DC. She also has an MA in International Affairs from LAU, and a BA in Political Science from AUB.
