“Knowledge Unlocked” - COVID-19 and Women in the Arab Region

According to the UN Secretary General’s policy brief on the impact of Covid-19 on women, “with the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic even the limited gains made in the past decades are at risk of being rolled back.” This session, in a form of a panel hosted by the Arab Institute for Women (AiW) at LAU, will address the short and long-term impacts of the Covid-19 crisis on women’s rights and women’s lives globally and in the Arab region in specific with a focus on the below topics:
- Violence against women
- Economic security
- Vulnerable groups
