“Knowledge Unlocked” - Embracing Your Mental Health

Coronavirus has affected all aspects of our lives and the constant news about the pandemic can feel never-ending. Not only is it impacting our physical health but it is taking its toll on some people’s mental health too. Staying at home, social distancing and self-isolating are crucial in stopping the spread of COVID-19, but they can affect us psychologically. So what can we do to support our mental well-being during this time? 

Presenter:

Ms. Zeina El Jordi is a clinical Instructor at the LAU Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing. She coordinates different didactic and clinical courses, namely courses related to psychiatry and mental health. Moreover, she is a board member and the Awareness Campaign Coordinator at Embrace, where she conducts awareness sessions throughout Lebanon on mental health and suicide. 
 
Zeina holds an MS in Nursing-Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing from the American University of Beirut (AUB), with seven years of experience as a registered nurse at the psychiatry inpatient unit at the AUBMC.
