In this lecture, Dr. Costanian will discuss the population health perspective and the definition of multimorbidity. Also, the measurement issues in multimorbidity and possible data sources for multimorbidity research will be reviewed. This lecture will highlight the possible challenges in multimorbidity research, next steps and research opportunities.

 

Biography: Dr. Christy Costanian is a chronic disease epidemiologist and Assistant Professor at the Lebanese American University in Beirut. Her research centers on chronic disease factors and outcomes, global health, and women’s health. Dr. Costanian completed a PhD in Epidemiology in 2018 and then pursued post-doctoral training at the University of Ottawa.
