LAU’s Institute of Media Research and Training (IMRT) is organizing an in-person workshop on How to Prepare a Live Broadcast. The workshop will be delivered by LAU Assistant Professor of Communication and Multimedia Journalism Gretchen King. 

 

The one-day workshop will bring graduate and undergraduate students from LAU together with members of the Migrant Community Center to learn how to prepare a live program, set up the equipment, and facilitate an online broadcast over Facebook. Participants will work together to prepare a runsheet for a live broadcast, featuring interviews and panel discussions. Then participants will facilitate a live broadcast that addresses media bias towards migrants in Lebanon and discusses the WACC sponsored research report prepared by IMRT and ARM titled, Media Monitoring Report: Analyzing News about Migrant Workers in Lebanon. This live broadcasted program will be the official launch of the report.
