LAU Engineering Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Summer School

The School of Engineering (SOE) invites middle school students to participate in the LAU Engineering Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Summer School. This camp is designed to introduce students to the field of engineering provide firsthand experience that will help them make future career decisions. Participants will also learn how to design, build, and program robots at SOE laboratories using LEGO Spike Prime Kits, Artificial Intelligence, and advanced robotics concepts.

Throughout the program, students will gain practical experience in robot design, basic artificial intelligence programming, and control, while also engaging in team challenges and a final robotics competition to test their skills.

The camp will allow students to:

  • Acquire skills in designing, building, and programming versatile robots
  • Explore advanced sensor fusion and robot control techniques
  • Understand and apply practical Machine Learning concepts
  • Develop problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Engage in hands-on challenges and a robotics competition

 

Fees: $320 including high-end robotics educational kits, fully equipped laboratories, meals, and fun activities, transportation (optional).

Who can apply: Middle school students ranging from Grade 6 to Grade 9.

Dates: June 30 to Friday July 4
