LAU’s Center for Lebanese Heritage (CLH) is inaugurating its 2025-2026 academic season with a special event featuring researcher Eddy Choueiry, who will present his findings on the architectural pearl, the Beiteddine Palace.

His talk will trace the palace’s historical stages of construction, explore its design and craftsmanship, reflect on its legacy after the prince’s departure, highlight how Orientalists captured it in both image and text, unearth treasures from the archives over the years, highlight its role as the summer presidential residence, and celebrate its place as a setting for Lebanon’s renowned summer festivals.

The event is open to the public.
