From Inflammation to Implication: Where Joints and Hearts Converge

The Division of Rheumatology at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine is organizing a scientific symposium bringing together world-renowned national and international experts to explore the evolving connections between systemic rheumatologic diseases and cardiovascular health.

Topics include autoinflammation vs. autoimmunity, cardiac implications of Familial Mediterranean Fever, the impact of gout and hyperuricemia on cardiovascular risk, and emerging advances in ATTR amyloidosis diagnosis and treatment.

This symposium is designed for cardiologists, rheumatologists, nephrologists, internists, family physicians, fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals, featuring expert-led lectures, interactive discussions, and opportunities for collaboration.
