Celebrating a Six Month Learning Journey

Irwin Hall, Beirut campus

The Arab Institute of Women (AiW) at LAU and the LAU Academy of Continuing Education (ACE) in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Lebanon cordially invite you to the closing event of the “Gender Development and Humanitarian Assistance” Programme for 2025.

The project, Increased Capacity of Women’s Organizations through the Implementation of the Associate Diploma in Gender in Development and Humanitarian Assistance (GDHA), is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.

GDHA is a technical training initiative designed to integrate a gender perspective into development and humanitarian programmes in Lebanon and the Arab region, with a focus on gender in situations of conflict, particularly the Women, Peace and Security agenda, gender mainstreaming in development programmes, and the prevention of/and response to gender-based violence. Thirty-four participants, organized into two cohorts, were selected from among more than one hundred applicants and benefited from a comprehensive curriculum delivered through ten specialized modules facilitated by four expert instructors over six months.
