Synopsis:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to describe the evolving role of anesthesiology in war and armed conflict settings; recognize key peri-operative challenges associated with mass casualty incidents; apply practical principles for effective coordination from the emergency department to the operating room during crisis situations; identify strategies to enhance preparedness, team training, and system responsiveness; and discuss essential postoperative and critical care considerations in resource-limited environments.
