About the Symposium

Organized by LAU’s School of Arts and Sciences, the upcoming Symposium on the Future of Biology: Integrating Technology and Life Sciences brings together researchers, students, and professionals to explore how cutting-edge technologies are transforming biological research and applications. This event will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, presenting recent findings, and envisioning the next frontiers in biotechnology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and related disciplines.

Tuesday, 28 April 2026

• Online Graduate Workshop (topic to be announced)
  A virtual session led by an esteemed alumnus, designed to engage graduate students in emerging trends and skills in the life sciences.

Wednesday, 29 April 2026

• Opening Ceremony
• Keynote Speakers: Dr. Anne-Noël Samaha (Universite de Montreal) and Dr. Maria Chahrour (University of Texas Southwestern)
• Oral Presentations
  Showcasing innovative research from undergraduate and graduate students.
• Lunch Break
• Poster Session
  An opportunity for interactive discussion and networking among participants.

Call for Abstracts

Researchers and students are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations aligned with the symposium theme. Submissions should highlight innovative approaches, interdisciplinary collaborations, or applications of technology in biological sciences.

Registration

Registration will open following the submission period. All participants must complete registration by April 1 to ensure inclusion in the program and event communications.
