Introduction to Ethical Hacking & Cybersecurity Workshop

LAU Beirut campus

The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics and the SoAS Software Institute at the Lebanese American University, in collaboration with Semicolon, invite you to an upcoming Introduction to Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity Workshop designed for high school students interested in exploring the world of digital security.

This interactive workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of cybersecurity through engaging demonstrations and hands-on learning. It begins with an overview of cybersecurity awareness, highlighting common online threats and safe digital practices, features live demonstrations of phishing and hardware hacking within ethical and bug bounty guidelines, and explores how websites and applications function while highlighting how security vulnerabilities are exploited.

Without any prior programming or cybersecurity experience, participants will engage in a hands-on cybersecurity challenge using beginner-friendly labs that simulate real-world scenarios in a controlled environment, with a live leaderboard highlighting the top performers.

Capacity: 35-40

Fee: Free
