Since the first TAVI procedure was performed in Lebanon at the LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital in July 2012, the field of valvular heart disease and structural heart interventions has witnessed significant advances. What began as a pioneering milestone has evolved into Heart 2 Heart Talks, a comprehensive scientific program organized by the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine and grounded in the multidisciplinary approach that has long shaped patient care at our institution.
We are pleased to invite you to the second edition of Heart 2 Heart Talks, which will be held across two sites, providing a unique opportunity to explore the latest developments in cardiovascular medicine through diverse perspectives and expertise.
The symposium will take place on:
- October 15 and 16 at the LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital
- October 17 at the LAU Medical Center–Saint John’s Hospital
Endorsed by the Lebanese Society of Cardiology and supported by leading scientific societies, the meeting will focus on current advances in valvular heart disease management and structural heart interventions. Through live case transmissions, interactive discussions, and reviews of complex real-world clinical scenarios, national and international faculty will share evidence-based insights and practical expertise.
The two-and-a-half-day program will feature a dynamic combination of hands-on training, scientific sessions, and opportunities for professional exchange:
- The opening half-day will feature the Structural Heart Simulation Village, offering hands-on sessions on mitral, aortic, and tricuspid interventions, as well as left atrial appendage closure.
- The first full scientific day, hosted at LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital, will focus on structural heart disease and will include live case transmissions—one performed at the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital and another broadcast live from a European Center.
- The second full scientific day, held at LAU Medical Center–Saint John’s Hospital, will focus on general cardiology and coronary interventions.
We look forward to welcoming you.
