Launching MARSAD: A Research Observatory on Inequality, Poverty, and Economic Development in the Arab Mashreq

The LAU Department of Economics is pleased to announce the launch of MARSAD, Monitoring Arab Regional Socioeconomic Advancement and Disparities, a data-driven research observatory dedicated to advancing research on inequality, poverty and economic development in the Arab Mashreq.The launch will introduce MARSAD’s vision, objectives and research agenda, while bringing together leading researchers, policymakers and stakeholders to examine some of the region’s most pressing socioeconomic challenges. Through evidence-based research and informed policy dialogue, MARSAD aims to strengthen collaboration, deepen understanding of regional disparities and contribute to more effective approaches to inclusive economic development.
