Book Launch of the English Translation of “Salwa Nassar As I Knew Her”

The Arab Institute for Women (AiW) at LAU is pleased to invite you to a hybrid book launch celebrating the English translation of Salwa Nassar As I Knew Her by Najla Akrawi, in the presence of the family of the late Dr. Salwa Nassar.

The event honors the legacy of Dr. Nassar, pioneering Arab nuclear physicist and former LAU president, whose scholarship and leadership broke new ground for women in science.

Following the book launch, a panel discussion will bring together speakers to reflect on documenting women’s stories and legacies, and on the enduring importance of STEM role models for future generations.

The ceremony will close with a reception.
