The Institute for Environmental and Research Study at the School of Architecture and Design invites you to a panel discussion on heritage and sustainability, exploring El-Qaa’s mudbrick houses and the traditional building practices that have shaped the town’s architectural heritage.

The panel will examine the environmental, cultural, and social significance of these structures within El-Qaa’s broader cultural landscape. It will also explore how traditional building knowledge can inform contemporary approaches to sustainable architecture, while considering ways to conserve and safeguard this heritage for future generations.
