Engineers for Impact: From Classroom to Community
LAU Beirut campus, Gezairi Building, Room 403
The School of Engineering invites you to an introduction to the Engineers for Impact (E4I) Institute, launched in October 2026 to connect engineering education with community needs.
At E4I, student teams work with municipalities and NGOs under faculty supervision, carrying their ideas from first prototype to implementation over several semesters.
Join us as the institute’s co-directors share its vision and students present their projects and talk about what it has been like to engineer solutions for real communities.
Speakers:
- Dr. Mazen Nakad, Academic Co-Director, E4I Institute
- Dr. Elie Elias, Civic Co-Director, E4I Institute
